Although storms came through the Hazelwood area over the weekend, they weren't severe enough to warrant the issuance of a Storm Declaration. Reports collected from City staff indicated minimal storm damage caused by downed trees and debris.

Community Wholesale Tire Expands in Hazelwood
Despite the down economy, there is one business in Hazelwood that is expanding due to the growth in sales. Community Wholesale Tire Distribution, Inc., 9124 Pershall Road, is adding 61,000 square feet of space to its existing warehouse facility at a cost of $3 million dollars.

Luxco Expands Warehousing Operations to Hazelwood's Park 370 Business Park
According to the St. Louis Business Journal, Luxco has signed a five-year lease for 213,558 square feet of industrial space at 1619 Park 370 Boulevard. HSA Commercial Real Estate, a Chicago-based brokerage and development firm, owns the building.

MO Bottom Road Remains Closed
Missouri Bottom Road from Tulip Tree Lane to St. Louis Mills Boulevard is closed and will not be re-opened until the reconstruction project for this roadway is finished. The project is expected to be completed during the 2011 construction season.
