He/she is responsible to the elected City Council for the proper management of the City's affairs in accordance with the policies as determined by the Council. Within the City Manager's office is:

The Assistant City Manager assists the City Manager in areas of personnel, citizen requests, special projects, and represents the City Manager's office at various regional committees and organizations.

Economic Developer

David Cox (314) 513-5018

The Economic Developer's office handles business contacts and certain areas of community interest. In a meet and greet capacity, the office is responsible for facilitating the entry, maintenance and expansion of business in the City. In regards to community interest, the office becomes involved in public relations, marketing and events which impact or affect the City. The Economic Developer represents the City in a business and social capacity to help maintain the economic health of the body politic.

Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for communicating to city residents, employees and the public at large information about the City of Hazelwood. This is done through a city newsletter; an employee newsletter; the website; and through various media outlets in the region.

GIS Analyst

Kate Crimmins (314) 513-5016

The GIS Analyst creates and maintains data relating to maps, Economic Development and marketing efforts.

Human Resources Assistant

Kim White (314) 513-5015

Provides information to employees regarding benefit plans, procedures and records. Runs employment vacancy advertisements.

Hazelwood Fire Dept. Invites Community
to Join in Great Central U.S. ShakeOut

The Hazelwood Fire Department (HFD) is partnering with Hazelwood School District and the American Red Cross for the 2012 Great Central U.S. ShakeOut, scheduled for Tues., Feb. 7, at 10:15 a.m.  Not only is the HFD helping to educate school children about what to do when an earthquake occurs, but also the HFD is inviting all City employees and residents of Hazelwood to participate in this largest earthquake drill ever.

Hazelwood Embraces Community Diversity
By Issuing Black History Month Proclamation

In recognition of the many ways black Americans have enriched our nation's culture and history and to celebrate the community's diversity as a major strength, the Hazelwood City Council approved a proclamation declaring the month of February 2012 as "Black History Month."

MO Bottom Road Remains Closed

Missouri Bottom Road from Tulip Tree Lane to St. Louis Mills Boulevard is closed and will not be re-opened until the reconstruction project for this roadway is finished.  The project is expected to begin in fall 2011 and be completed by the end of 2012.
